Fishers Continental was founded in 1958. Founder Jan Visscher had been in the paper business all his adult life and he had a vision. He saw a need for specialty paperboard in the Vancouver BC area that was not being met. So he began to import high quality paperboard from Holland and Finland. Starting in the basement of his home, Jan Visscher built up his business to where it is today.
